The fall window boxes, urns and planters around Marion are colorful reminders of this
beautiful season of brilliant blue skies, blazing leaves, pleasant temperatures and
occasional rain to keep things fresh. Members of the Marion Garden Group create and
care for these embellishments around the town.
Last week MGG hosted a flower arranging workshop at the Marion Council on Ageing.
Leader, Sylvia Strand, demonstrated and guided a group of about 20 people as they
created their own original masterpieces. One woman exclaimed, “I can’t believe I
made that!” Organizers Pam Norweb and Nan Johnson plan to offer more workshops
in the future.
Mark your calendar: DECEMBER 9th is the Annual Holiday Boutique at the Music Hall.
In addition to their regular duties, MGG members put on elf hats in the fall, and are
busy creating unique, one-of-a-kind Holiday decorations of fresh greens, ornaments
and other hand-made surprises. Doors open at 9:00 am.
